Cynthia Oelkers - Head Cheese for In The Moment Fourteen years in the high-tech environment is enough to make anyone long for laughter. Since 1999, Cynthia has performed improv comedy for The National Comedy Theatre (formerly ComedySportz), In The Moment, and Wooden Nickel in Austin while working to help Dell, Inc. become an e-business. She is a professional public speaker and has led management training in the corporate and higher-education sectors for over twelve years. She combines her work as an improv comedian, researcher, and business woman to create unique workshop experiences that are insightful, relevant and fun. She has written sketch comedy for companies like MCI, Dell, The University of Texas, and The Meeting Professionals International. Cynthia holds a Master's degree in Interpersonal Communication from The University of Texas at Austin and also teaches Presentational Speaking at St. Edward's and Business Communication at LeTourneau Universities. |

Terrill Fischer - Chief Entertainment Officer for In The Moment He has given over 1000 paid presentations to audiences of all ages as a trainer, speaker, professional comedian, and improvisational performer. With a background as an investment media broker and management consultant, he learned how effective humor can be in difficult business situations. He leads programs in Negotiation, Stress Management, and How to Understand Yourself and Others Better. Terrill is the co-founder of Humor University, a virtual center for humor and fun experts around the United States. Terrill holds a Bachelor's degree in Organizational Communication from The University of Texas. He is the co-author of the book Making Work Fun: 139 Ways to Lighten Up the Workplace, and he is a member of the National Speakers Association. He is also a certified Birkman Consultant with Birkman International. |

Jennifer Cargill- Sketch Comedy and Corporate Entertainment Specialist Jennifer started performing improvisation in high school and in 1997 joined ComedySportz Austin in Texas. In March of 2001, she moved to Chicago, Illinois and continued her improv studies by completing training at The Improv Olympic, Annoyance Productions, and The Second City Conservatory. Her Improv Olympic ensemble show "Pacotomo" won the 2002 Del Close Award for "Best Student Show." She performed on the Improv Olympic harold team Sandbox Democracy for 2 years, the all-girl improv team Bevy and the independent improv team Obesessed. She is a resident artist at Chemically Imbalanced Theater in Chicago and she has co-written, co-directed and performed corporate sketch/customized improv shows for Mid-America Bank in Chicago and for Dell, Inc. in Austin. In 2003, she co-wrote, directed and performed in the Improv Olympic sketch showcase for MadTV of Los Angeles and was a headliner, with her team Bevy, at the Funny Women's Festival in New York City. Jennifer has performed at the following improv festivals in 2003-2004: Chicago Improv Festival, Toronto Improv Festival, Del Close Marathon at the Upright Citizen's Brigade Theater in NYC, East Coast Funny Women's Festival in NYC, St. Louis Improv Festival, Gilda's Club, Around the Coyote, and Friends of Battered Women. Improv Philosophy: If it is supported 100%, there will never be a wrong move. |

Erin Plischke - Sketch Comedy and Corporate Entertainment Specialist In the latter half of 1996, Erin received a phone call from an old friend asking him to audition for an Improv group. Soon after, he became a member of ComedySportz Austin. His love of improv continued to grow and in March 2001, Erin moved to Chicago, Illinois to study more. He completed training at Improv Olympic, Annoyance Productions and The Second City Conservatory. His Improv Olympic show "Pacotomo" won the 2002 Del Close Award for "Best Student Show" (Jennifer Cargill was also in the show!!). He currently performs on the independent improv team Obsessed. Thomas Darwin, Ph. D. Thomas is the Director of Professional Development and Community Engagement in the Office of Graduate Studies at the University of Texas at Austin. He also holds appointments in the Department of Communication Studies and the division of Rhetoric and Composition at the University of Texas. With more than ten years teaching and consulting experience, he currently teaches Entrepreneurship, Consulting, Academic and Professional Writing and Communication, and Ethics. In addition, Thomas facilitates workshops on effective collaboration, innovation, and community engagement. A published scholar in rhetoric, communication, and health and healing, he is currently researching ways design methods for innovation in community issues and ways to create and sustain collaborations between Universities and the local community. |

Ann Fry, MSW, President and Dean of Fun of Humor University Ann has a background as a psychotherapist. For the past fifteen years she has been a corporate trainer, professional speaker and coach. She holds a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois, is a graduate of Coach University, and holds a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) designation through the International Coach Federation. Ann combines her therapist's knowledge, management experience and sense of humor to create her programs. Ann's speaking specialties include "A Playful Approach to Stress Management and Team Building," "Staying Afloat in a Sea of CHANGE," "Keeping Your Sense of Humor Intact," and "Laughing Matters: The Value of Humor at Work." She is the author of Laughing Matters: Understanding the Value of Humor in the Workplace and has co-authored When Was The Last Time You...? and 139 Ways to Lighten Up the Workplace. Ann is a professional member of the National Speaker's Association (NSA) and is past-President of the NSA Heart of Texas chapter in Austin, TX. |

Lea Brandenburg Lea Brandenburg has been using improvisational games, role-plays and simulations to create experiential learning environments for over twenty years. She has brought this work into corporations, correctional facilities, educational centers, not-for-profit organizations, youth centers and professional associations. Lea is also an actress with over two decades of professional experience in theatre, film, TV and radio. Currently, she is a faculty member of the New York Film Academy. She is a contributing author to the career guide Work It. Her articles in this guide adapt performance and acting technique to aid job applicant. Since 1997, Lea has been coaching an international clientele to reach professional and personal goals, change careers, improve management skills and achieve small business success. She is a graduate of Coach University and a member of the International Coach Federation and a founding member of Coachville. Lea is also in the process of working on a Master's in Experiential Learning. She is the owner of Creating Strategies, (www.creatingstrategies.com) a coaching and training company, located in New York. |
